Vegan Elderberry Croissant

Image
Happy National Croissant Day! Did you know that was a holiday? Me neither! But good news I literally just had the best vegan croissant this past week in Universal Orlando Resort purely by coincidence. Admittedly the day I had it, it was not what I was originally going to eat at all. I was trying to get a full meal but 3 separate places "just didn't have" their vegan options that day including the place where I got the croissant. Luckily this was a super yummy back up choice. I hadn't been to Universal in almost 2 years so I was overly prepared with a list of food and drink options I wrote down and was folded up in my fanny pack that I kept pulling out when it came to meal time. I honestly suggest this to anyone with dietary restrictions before going to a theme park. Do your research before you get there and try to plan ahead. Obviously like in my case, you can't always get what you go for first so have as much listed as possible to give plenty of options.  So whi...

Vegan at Busch Garden Williamsburg's Food & Wine Festival 2022

Image
So now that we've covered the basics with "hamburgers and hotdogs" to start. Let's move on to something completely different. And let's jump to a different theme park and state too. Busch Gardens Williamsburg just finished up their Food & Wine Festival that they extended through June 19th! I'm so sad that it's already over because as a member we got a free food/drink item each time and I was LOVING that! For their menu this year there are only two vegan food options and then several drink options.  I made a checklist in my phone of all the items I wanted to try and I was able to get in four visits during the festival. I did try both food options, and had one of them twice, and then tried two different drinks. It only ran Thursday-Sunday each weekend which usually tend to be our busier times with work so I didn't get to go as often as I would have liked but I'm so glad we attended. For my first item from the festival I chose the most unique soun...

Plant-Based Pacific Island Burger

Image
It's Memorial Day, so let's talk burgers.  I wanted to share one of my favorites on Disney property butttttttt it appears that as of their menu revamp this past weekend, this delicious burger just got replaced at D-Luxe Burger! Back in November while working in Florida, my husband and I had some downtime and only being an hour outside of Orlando of course we decided to go visit Disney Springs. I wanted to try a new to us restaurant as we always attempt on our Disney trips so after some research we picked this awesome burger joint. There's a little something for everyone at D-Luxe Burger and it has such a cool vibe inside with the exposed wood-beams and a fireplace. I was so excited to try the Plant-Based Pacific Island Burger and it delivered! I'm a huge fan of island flavors and good burgers so it's hard to beat the mix. A Beyond Burger patty that has your usual lettuce, tomato, pickle toppings but then they add on the mushroom and cabbage ragout and mango salsa to...

The Plant-Based Slaw Dog at Casey's Corner

Image
For my first real blog post I knew I wanted to start at the beginning... My very first introduction to vegan parks food.  Of course that is none other than the home run hit that is The Plant-Based Slaw Dog that you can find at Casey's Corner on Main Street USA in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. To date so far this is the only meal I've had twice and for good reason! I tried for the first time in 2019, we hadn't been to the parks in quite a while and it was my first time dining at WDW with meat no longer in my diet. I did a LOT of research ahead of time since I felt like I was going into this a little blind making the switch to vegan dining. Luckily much like this I found a blog that described some of the best options and knew this is what I wanted to try for my first meal! This dish is vegan as is with no modifications needed. It features a spicy Italian Beyond sausage, slaw made up of cabbage, corn, kale, shredded carrots, onions, cilantro, and pepper topped with a ...

A Magical Introduction!

Hiya Pals! My name is Hannah and welcome to my blog! I'm here to share all my favorite plant based meals in the different theme parks and resorts I visit through being a travel agent. I've had so much fun sharing them on my Facebook and Instagram pages but wanted to expand on what all I have been finding so others can find them too! So far I'll have selections from Walt Disney World at all four parks, Disney Springs, and WDW resorts, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. While I'm looking forward to sharing what I've had so far, I can't wait to keep experiencing more! We are hopefully visiting Disneyland for the first time this fall so I'm sure that we would do a day at Universal Studios Hollywood too! Whatever you like to label yourself: Plant Based Princess or Prince, Herbivore, Vegan, Animal Lover, I hope these posts help you decide what yummy options you want to try next on your travels! And if...
